Monin Cup 2022 Returns to Saudi Arabia
Calling aspiring mixologists and beverage specialists to submit entries for Saudi Arabia’s Edition
Sept 6, 2022–Riyadh, KSA: Bidfood KSA and Georges MONIN SAS France today announced hosting the second local edition of SAUDI MONIN CUP.
MONIN CUP is an international competition for professional beverage specialists, challenging competitors to demonstrate their creative skills whilst using MONIN products to craft signature mocktails. Candidates come together to compete with their creativity and technical expertise in a bid to take home the MONIN trophy.
Held in collaboration with Saudi Arabian Chef Association, Saudi Monin Cup invites all mixologists and beverage specialist from across the kingdom to apply online at www.bidfoodme.com and secure the MONIN Champion title while winning up to 8,000 SAR. Applicants must be under 35 years old, with a professional work experience as a beverage mixologist, bartender, barista or a student at a culinary centre.
As part of the submission, applicants should submit one recipe that could be either a cold or a hot drink. The same recipe will be used in regional finals and national finals.
All submissions will be evaluated to select the top semi-finalists for each geographic region–Riyadh, Jeddah and Al Khobar. Results will be announced on the 4th week of September.
The semi-finalists will compete in regional semi-finals held in Bidfood culinary studios in each region.
Western Province – 2nd October – Jeddah
Eastern Province – 3rd October – Khobar
Central Province – 5th October – Riyadh
The 2022 edition will be under the thematic “Sharing Memorable Moments”. The challenge for each competitor will be to conceive and present a mocktail that embodies the spirit of our theme, by sharing not only a drink but also a true moment of togetherness.
The three regional champions will then compete for the SAUDI MONIN CUP finals, which will be held on October 9, 2022 in Riyadh.
The local judging panel will evaluate the creations based on the presentation, efficiency, execution, appearance, aroma, taste, and respect for the theme.
The competition is organized by MONIN, a premium brand for quality gourmet flavoured syrups, Fruit Mixes, Sauces and Frappes. With 100 years of experience, MONIN brand has become a reference in the flavoured drink market with a broad range of more than 150 flavours.
