KIB participates in the first round of Food Buzz in its 8th edition
Kuwait, 9 December 2024: As part of its role as a strategic partner in the 8th edition of Food Buzz, Kuwait’s most iconic food festival, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) participated in the festival’s first round, which recently took place at Arraya Center in the heart of Kuwait City, attracting many festival visitors to its booth and engaging them in valuable conversations and fun activities. KIB’s sponsorship and continued support of Food Buzz and its active on-ground participation come under the umbrella of the Bank’s comprehensive social responsibility program.
Commenting on the Bank’s sponsorship of Food Buzz, Abdulaziz Al-Thawab, Assistant Manager - Marketing and Corporate Communication at KIB, said: “As a ‘Bank for Life’, we remain dedicated to supporting our community, empowering entrepreneurs and small businesses, and championing sustainability. We are delighted to renew our support for Food Buzz in its 8th edition, as part of our social responsibility efforts and robust community engagement initiatives. Through our participation, we set up a sustainability-themed booth during the first round of the festival to foster water conservation and recycling, serving as a testament to our commitment to helping create a sustainable future for generations to come.”
Set up in collaboration with local artists and business owners, the Bank’s booth, called “KIB DIY”, was crafted entirely from recycled plastic bottles that were collected by ABC, the Bank’s sister company. The booth also featured an interactive screen with engaging content about the vital role of water in sustaining life on the planet. Through this initiative, the Bank reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability, where people can contribute to a more environmentally responsible future.
Represented by KIB staff members, the Bank also utilized its presence on the festival grounds to spread awareness of financial literacy, as part of KIB’s ongoing support of the nationwide “Let’s be Aware” (Diraya) banking awareness campaign. KIB representatives also took the time to converse with the festival-goers and inform them about the wide range of banking products and services that KIB offers and how they can choose the best-suited offerings that align with their goals and aspirations.
As an engaged corporate citizen and a proactive contributor to the overall development of the community, KIB continues to initiate and sponsor events, campaigns, and activities that aim to enable aspiring Kuwaiti talents in the fields of entrepreneurship, sports, arts, culture, and more.
