Kuwait,  16, February 2023 - In a continuation of its support from the previous year, Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced its platinum sponsorship of the ninth Atyab Al Marshoud International Showjumping Championship, aiming at further disseminating the sports culture in Kuwait and supporting Kuwaiti sports talents. The sponsorship comes as part of the framework of one of the most prominent principles of the Bank's pioneering and comprehensive social responsibility program, which is to empower Kuwaiti athletes and provide all the means to qualify them to compete, and achieve high ranks, on the global scale.

The showjumping championship organized by Atyab Al Marshoud will be held at the Kuwait Equestrian Center and will extend across three days, starting from Thursday February 16, 2023, to Saturday February 18, 2023. And because this tournament, in particular, has a wide audience and a large public presence, KIB will be setting up a booth throughout this special event as part of its commitment to play an active role in community engagement under the umbrella of its slogan 'Bank for Life.'
Commenting on the Bank's sponsorship, Assistant Manager - Marketing Department and Corporate Communication Unit, Marwa Maarafi, said: 'KIB’s support and platinum sponsorship of this championship stems from its belief that equestrian sport is one of the most ancient sports in Kuwait, in particular, and in the Arab Gulf countries, in general. It also constitutes a large part of Arab heritage”. She added: “KIB has always been and remains today very keen on sponsoring various local equestrian tournaments and providing the necessary support to its Kuwaiti professionals and champions with the aim of enabling them to participate in various local and international tournaments. The closest example is the Bank’s recent sponsorship of the same tournament in its eighth edition last year.”

It should be noted that KIB spares no effort in initiating sponsorship and participation in community events, as they achieve strategic sustainability and sustainable development goals that are in line with its community program.
